During the month of August, as a part of ongoing security enhancements we will be implementing changes that will impact Paperless Pay, Tax Form Management, and The Work Number applications. As a result of this update, clients will no longer be able to use the Internet Explorer web browser on any PC running the Windows XP operating system to access these applications. Recent versions of Internet Explorer on operating systems newer than Windows XP will continue to operate.

No Longer Compatible:

  • Operating System: Windows XP and before
  • Internet Explorer (IE) version 8 and before

 

Compatible:

  • Operating System: Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10
  • Internet Explorer (IE) version 9 and after

 

The below list reflects the effective dates for each impacted solution:

  • Tax Form Management: Tuesday, August 1
  • Paperless Pay: Tuesday, August 8
  • The Work Number: Tuesday, August 15

 

Equifax believes this update will have a minimal impact on our clients. Our data shows that approximately 0.4% of those who access the applications do so using the Internet Explorer web browser on a PC running the Windows XP operating system.

Clients may have experienced issues logging into some Equifax Worforce Solution applications from 1:40 pm until approx 3:26PM CST.   Performance has returned to normal levels currently and teams are continuing to monitor system performance.

Some clients may have experienced E-Verify transactions placed in queue due to an E-Verify communication issue with the I-9 Management service until approx. 2:15 PM CST.

DHS’ E-Verify system is currently down.  The I-9 Management System is currently  unable to communicate with the E-Verify system.  At 1:15 PM CST, the E-Verify system became unavailable for I-9 Management to facilitate E-Verify transactions.  The E-Verify team is working to identify and resolve the issue as soon as possible.  I-9 Management is active and will continue to queue E-Verify transactions until the issue has been resolved by the E-Verify team.  To find out the latest status, you can call the Department of Homeland Security at 1-800-741-5023 Option #1.
