What will happen:

Equifax is changing the TLS Certificate Authority (CA) used by the Equifax API Platform. This update is necessary to maintain the security and reliability of your connection to Equifax APIs.

 

Why Is This Change Happening:

Our certificate provider, Sectigo, has updated their root and Intermediate Certificate Authority (CA). As a result, certificates must be verified using the new CA

 

Current CA:

Common Name (CN) Sectigo RSA Organization Validation Secure Server CA
 

New CA:

Common Name (CN) Sectigo Public Server Authentication CA OV R36
 

Who Is Impacted:  All businesses using Equifax APIs.
 

When Will This Change Occur: -

Timeline: You must take action before the applicable Certificate Renewal Date(s) listed below


 

What Action Is Required:

To prevent service interruption, you must download and install the new Certificate Authority into your trust store before the certificate renewal date.
 

You can download the new CAs using the direct links below or from Sectigo's website.

 Important:  Do not remove the existing Certificate  Authority. Your trust store must contain both the old and new CAs.
